CFINANCIALS: Collaboration with the Bombay Stock Exchange

L'AGEFI: Thursday, April 28th 2011

The Cfinancials platform yesterday announced a partnership with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The giant portal already offers a very large number of financial products (9.5 million), through its partnerships with Six Telekurs, Thomson Reuters, Dow Jones and Interactive Data. Until now, the website’s revenues have come mainly from promoting financial products, pipeline marketing and sponsorships, as well as from statistics offered to issuers to observe user behaviour concerning their product. Michael Heijmejer, the CEO, states that his objective is to go beyond the democratisation of access to financial information. That is because the website, which is partially free of charge, offers enormous vertical research potential. It accordingly filters searches that are impossible to do elsewhere, even for professionals, with immediate display of the number of results before showing the final, complete list with detailed data on each security on the list.
